1. Booking and Payment

The renter must be at least 18 years old. The renter is responsible for the proper use of the space, even if they are not present during the rental period. Any damages or fines are always the responsibility of the renter. Renters using the student discount must present a valid student card at the beginning of the booking.

Bookings are made via email through the website's contact form, and the reservation is confirmed to the customer personally via email. Re-renting the space is prohibited. Customers will be invoiced via email on the Monday of the week before the reservation. Payment must be made within 14 days of receipt of the invoice. Late payment interest will be charged according to the Interest Act.

2. Cancellation and modification

Customers can cancel their booking free of charge up to 14 days before the rental date. In case of cancellation 5-13 days before the rental date, 50% of the rental price will be charged. After this period, the full rental price will be charged. Bookings can be modified before the reserved date but not during the rental period.

3. The renter's right to cancel the reservation 

Lykke & Lys Oy reserves the right to cancel a booking without liability 21 days before the rental. Due to force majeure (e.g., fire, water damage, or vandalism), the booking may be canceled without liability before the start of the reservation.

4. Use of the space

The premises must be kept clean and tidy, and excessive noise inside the premises and near exterior doors must be avoided. The use of personal speakers and amplifiers is strictly prohibited in Lykke Emil, but amplifiers are allowed in Lykke Dahlia until 11 pm. 

Smoking indoors and in the immediate vicinity of the facility is prohibited. Designated smoking areas must be used outside. The inner courtyard of Lykke Emil is not available for use.

At the start of the rental, the customer is introduced to the space and instructed in its use. At the end of the rental period, the customer is responsible for locking the doors according to the instructions and turning off the lights. The facility and its key must be returned immediately at the end of the rental period.

5. Final cleaning

If the customer has not purchased final cleaning in advance for an additional fee, the space must be cleaned according to the provided cleaning instructions before the end of the rental period. Cleaning instructions will be provided to the customer upon booking and are available in the rented space. Basic cleaning is included in the purchased final cleaning, but any additional cleaning tasks (e.g. cleaning up vomit) will be invoiced separately afterward.

6. Compensation for damages

The space and its interior must be returned in the same condition as at the beginning of the rental period. The renter is obliged to inform the company of any defects or damages noticed during the event. The renter is obliged to compensate for major damages caused during the event, and fines may be charged for violating the rental terms.
